Improve your self-image

Improve your self-image

What you think about yourself is crucial to your success. What others think of you is really immaterial so long as you know are special, lovely, unique and capable of attracting all the good things that you need.

Most of us get caught in a trap of self-hatred. We constantly see all that is wrong with us and convince ourselves at a very deep level that we are just not making the grade. This is so damaging to our self-confidence and our relationships, and robs the joy from our lives. It is crucial that each one of us is internally led to a joyful acceptance of who we are. Nobody is perfect. And what picture we perceive as our flaws, will never be held against us by those who truly love us. But, first, we must learn to love ourselves unconditionally. Here are some ideas for enhancing yourself mentality, physically, emotionally and spiritually every day to ensure that you value yourself fully.

1. Work out every day. It could be a brisk walk, but better still join a class – yoga, aerobics, weight training. A lot of confidence comes from feeling fit and seeing yourself glow. Invest this time in yourself.
2. Treat yourself well. Keep a mental tab on your thought process. The minute you catch yourself feeling negative about yourself, or pitying yourself, STOP. Our minds can destroy us. Just meditate for 10 mins everyday repeating “ I am beautiful, worthy, wonderful child of God to whom all good things will happen.” Radiate goodwill and cheer.
3. Don’t deprive yourself. Its good to indulge once in a while. Slot a pampering session – a pedicure, a shopping spree, and lunch with a friend. Set up a special treat for yourself. It will make you feel worthy, and give you something to look forward to.
4. Set goals, and follow them thorough with determination. You will be surprised to see how your life changes once you give it direction. Don’t waste time. Plan out your goals: personal, financial, professional, domestic, and see where you are heading. You will feel more purposefully and fulfilled.
5. Chalk out a healthy diet for yourself and follow it. Eliminate junk food. Not only does it add calories, but drains the digestive system. To feel light and look bright, you must eat right! You will feel more purposeful and fulfilled.
6. Improve your habits. Don’t just slop n front of the TV and while your days away gossiping and wasting your talents. Make the most of what you have. If you do a lot with your life you will feel successful and confident and this automatically improves your self-image.
Pick an idol and let that person motivate you and inspire you. Put his/her picture up in your house or office. Every time you look at that picture let it lead you into believing that your life can be blesses and fulfilled!
7. Realign your breathing. Most of us breathe wrong and this adds to our stress. Deep breathe consciously for five minutes everyday. Sit somewhere quiet and breathe slowly and deeply, in through the nose, out through the mouth. This is most simple, effective ay to achieve serenity while neutralizing stress.
8. Keep a slot of ‘private time’ every single day. Use this time any way you choose. But do it alone and stick to it religiously. You could pray, listen to music or just sit and day-dream, but be yourself for a bit everyday. Write yourself a love letter once a month. Address it, put a stamp on it, and post it, and when it arrives read it as a compliment from the most important person in your life: YOU. Or else, send yourself an email on the first of every month telling yourself some really nice things and planning a great month ahead! See what a happy frame of mind that put in you
.

Do inculcate something to cope up with this fast busy life today !!

Masks Unveiled ......

Masks Unveiled ......

There have been moments in my life ,

Where i turned and looked into the face of life ....
I saw an image of what i thought was me ,
A dasmel with hope as her guard in the dark nights ...
A prayer in the heart of those who have seen grey shades even in
the brightest spark of light ,
Pride of what she was made up of , from the tides of failures and success ,
Determination so strong to , survive the journey of tribulances
and reach her destination.
Thoughts , that reflected Independence of mind and body .
But sudden volacanic eruptions of time and cirumstances
made me look beyond the reflections of my image ,
So many masks i had worn to hide the real me ,
To hide the pain , to silence myself when i wanted to scream ,
To crub the need for a shoulder to cry on ,
with a belief of independence in my mind ,
To voice my opinion , when realites quitened me ,
Times as such reflect we are not only made up of
what we are but of what we also potray what we are not
No one takes the pride in being a coward or a loser ,
So we all wear mask to hide ourselves from our conscious,
But the courage is not always in fighting but also
in accepting defeat ,
In unveling all the burden of masks we carry throught our lives ...
To free ourselves from the fear of opinions ...
To realise the value of selfworth ,
To see beyond from what others forsee us as .

THEY JUST WONT LEARN.

A mighty sound came from above,
The voice of God, It spoke of love.
Oh mankind when will you learn,
It's how one lives, Not what one earns.
First I sent a token of my love,
An olive twig with the heavenly dove.
Then I sent my prophets all,
You ignored them in your pride.
Are you heading for another fall,
As your faces from me you hide.
Will you not hear my loving call,
For I am speaking to you all.'
''Tis I your father, the God of love,
In my heaven high above.

The absence of those tears

The one you find you think is right... is never right it seems,
You long for her to love you... but she loves you in your dreams,
For though I try to love you... to show what love could be,
The bridge you could not cross... was to love and care for me.

Now when I stare into the mirror... I see the mirror's crack,
And I search alone for truth... of what I, myself, must lack,
But is the love that I possess... too wicked for you to see,
Why could I not be loved... for simply being me?

Now all I have are pictures... and the time I spent with you,
Hoping that all my dreams... would shortly all come true,
But I never saw your tears... when I turned and walked away,
And the absence of those tears... said much more than words could say.

For the pain within grew quickly... and never left my side,
And though hidden deep inside me... my pain I just can't hide,
Now life for me has fractured... and my heart has split in two,
Since the Love I once loved... became the Love I once knew.

I hold onto hope forever... that one day you'll be mine,
And in some distant time and place... our souls at last entwine,
But, I fear that when you realize... it was me that you adore,
We will have wasted precious moments... for, alas, I'll be ignored.

For to God I'll journey forward... to walk in heavens field,
And to anger, hate and torment... my body shall not yield,
For I could not hate the love... that caused my heart to see,
Oh, Lord, why could I not be loved... for simply being me?

Our Friendship

Our friendship is soothing
Like a warm gentle breeze
A soft, tender rustle
Thru the leaves of the trees...
Our friendship can bloom
Like a beautiful spring day Y
ours and mine did In such a wonderful way...
Our friendship brings rainbows
After the storm
It appears in the winter
To keep our hearts warm...
Our friendship withstands hardships
As the winter wind blows
Like a candle in the window
With its soft warm glow.
